Michel Gelinas, M.D.
Professional and Personal Background
Dr. Michel Gelinas completed his ophthalmology training at the University of Colorado and came to the Northwoods in 1998. In 2000, he, along with Dr. Kirby Redman, formed Redman Gelinas Eye Care.
Dr. Gelinas specializes in the latest techniques in cataract surgery, including the iStent procedure for glaucoma, and works with the new lens implant technology to decrease patients need for glasses. He also treats patients with eye diseases including glaucoma, macular degeneration and diabetes.
Dr. Gelinas is board certified in ophthalmology and is a member of the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgeons and the American Academy of Ophthalmology. He has received recognition for his charitable work with the Lions Club International, providing humanitarian service, including cataract surgery, to people in Wisconsin and abroad.
